If you’re having trouble connecting your Vision Pro device to your MacBook after pairing, you’re not alone. These issues are particularly common in environments where Wi-Fi networks are frequently changed or if your organization uses a VPN. Fortunately, there are straightforward steps you can follow to resolve this problem.

Steps to Overcome Connection Issues:

  1. Network Check: Ensure that your Vision Pro remains connected to the network you intend to use. Make sure that this network is not blocked by a VPN and that both your Vision Pro and MacBook can connect to it.
  2. Restart Your MacBook: Begin by restarting your MacBook to refresh its network settings and connections.
  3. Disable Wi-Fi: Once your MacBook has restarted, turn off the Wi-Fi temporarily. This step helps to clear any potential network conflicts or issues.
  4. Wait for Startup Processes: Allow all startup applications to complete their processes. This ensures that your system is fully ready for new network connections.
  5. Reconnect to the Network: After the startup processes are complete, reconnect your MacBook to the same network that your Vision Pro is connected to.
  6. Open Xcode: Launch Xcode and navigate to “Devices and Simulators.” Your Vision Pro should now appear and connect within Xcode.

By following these steps, you should be able to establish a stable connection between your Vision Pro and MacBook.

However, if you continue to face issues, it could be due to an incompatible Wi-Fi type for Apple devices. In such cases, you can consider purchasing a “USB Developer Strap” for the Vision Pro. This strap makes it easy to swap out the right strap of the AVP, providing a wired connection that might resolve any lingering connectivity issues.

These steps aim to provide a clear and comprehensive guide for users experiencing this common issue, ensuring that even those in corporate environments with complex network setups can find a solution.
